Update: Immediately following the death of Rich Piana, news surfaced of the unexpected demise of newbie Dallas McCarver. Closely tied to Recon1, a concerted effort was made to disassociate the death from steroids by claiming that McCarver actually choked while eating.

As expected, “choking hazzard” was NOT the culprit but rather the effect of an old adversary that’s mentioned quite often throughout this STEROIDANALYSIS.com website.

Official autopsy results that were conducted in the State of Florida reveal that Dallas McCarver suffered a major cardiovascular failure before or while eating. Following the print screen above, we conclusively see that he suffered:
- Severe cardiomegaly with concentric left ventricular hypertrophy in which the heart is enlarged. Left ventricular hypertrophy is enlargement and thickening (hypertrophy) of the walls of your heart’s left ventricle.

- Hepatomegaly is the condition of having an enlarged liver; potentially involving infection, hepatic tumours, or metabolic disorder.

- Hypertrophy of kidneys pertains to slight enlargement of kidneys; a condition often experienced by steroid users who often share an increased thirst-sensation (as evidenced by obvious steroid users who carry/consume gallons of water during their workouts).

- Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most common form of well-differentiated thyroid cancer. Papillary carcinoma appears as an irregular solid or cystic mass or nodule in a normal thyroid parenchyma. Lymphatic spread is more common than hematogenous spread. The so-called Lateral Aberrant Thyroid is actually a lymph node metastasis from papillary thyroid carcinoma.
Note: we’ve established a strong correlation between steroid use and strong probability of lymphatic cancer within steroid-using subsets among normally distributed population.

Doctor(s) who performed the autopsy also listed contributing factors including “chronic” use of Exogenous steroid hormones. Among substances found in McCarver’s system was a steroid stack including Trenbolone Metabolite (17a-trenbolone).

We at this STEROIDANALYSIS.com website have persistently warned against the use of steroids & hormones; often listing the same set of well-known side effects. Nonetheless, PED distributors continue to down-play these warnings and even suggest that there are ways to mitigate said impact. There are numerous steroid users and dealers who’ve posted videos on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc… with the purpose of deflecting responsibility elsewhere.

Question: when will current or potential users return to reality. It’s reasonable to believe that Dallas McCarver abused steroids under the very close oversight of a licensed doctor who should’ve been able to mitigate the effects listed above. Yet, why did Dallas die anyway? Is it logical that there are readily available resources to thwart deadly effects of steroid use yet deaths continue to occur?
Answer: there’s no way to assuredly reduce the risk of heart attack and lymphatic cancer. There’s no amount of antidote, extent of water consumption, diet, supplement that will offset the side effects that WILL cause major damage to 100% of users!!!

On Monday, December 5th, 2017, the International Olympic Committee made an unparalleled move by banning the entire Russian Federation from competition in the upcoming winter games. Never in Olympic history has an entire nation been subject to a comprehensive ban of this magnitude. As an olive branch to athletes, the IOC has stated that it will allow participation by Russian competitors who (1) are NOT in the midst of other IOC penalties, (2) are NOT in the midst of penalties from the anti-doping agencies of their home countr(ies), and (3) can meet compliance mandates prior to the winter games.

Credible evidence began to mount from the dueling investigations including results from the POUND Report, Oswald Commission Hearings, as well as the ‘McLaren Report’. Each forensic analysis was done against the backdrop of organized doping throughout Eastern Europe; centered within Russia and involving the conspiracy to conceal evidence with the assistance of the Russian secret service. The international community believed that the IOC mishandled strong evidence that began to emerge during the winter Olympics in Sochi – with even stronger evidence beginning to circulate during the summer Olympics in Rio.

The sweeping ban of Russian participation comes on the heels of the IOC’s sanctioning of 3 Russians as a part of the Oswald Commission. It was determined that Yulia Chekaleva (cross-country skier), Olga Zaytseva (biathlete), and Anastasia Dotsenko were in violation of Article 2 of the IOC’s anti-doping regulations. QUESTION:

Earlier in the week, news began to circulate throughout the bodybuilding community that Dallas McCarver choked to death while eating. Among the first to report this news was TMZ Sports; quickly followed by other media sources. Whereas, this is the current cause of death, questions are beginning to surface that challenge this thesis. An alternate proposal claims that Dallas McCarver was under some sort of cardiac distress while he was eating. The intensity of this event may’ve prevented McCarver from adequately swallowing; thereby, precipitating the fatal choking event.

Moreover, others theorize that the degree of upper-body over-build compromises ordinary function of the esophagus. In fact, the esophagus is a muscular swallowing tube who’s functionality may be influenced by steroids that bodybuilders originally dedicate to other muscles. As the user grows pectoral, deltoid, etc… muscle tissue about the esophagus, the tube becomes overwhelmed and potentially distorted. From the pharynx to the stomach, the esophagus performs a series of contractions to move chewed food from the throat to the stomach. At the top of the stomach is the lower esophageal sphincter with a primary purpose of preventing backflow.

Though his residential base was Boca Raton, Dallas McCarver was born on April 9, 1991 in Jackson, Tennessee. He grew up during a time period where the coverage of the bodybuilding scene was transitioning from magazine to digital. This flood of content motivated Dallas to pursue bodybuilding with an endless thirst to be bigger and bigger and bigger. In fact, the 6′-0″ white male had an offseason weight range between 255 lbs – 270 lbs (116 kg – 121 kg).

ACTE DEUX: ACT TWO

Just hours following the news of Dallas McCarver’s death, TMZ Sports and THE ONLINE SUN raced to break the news of another well known bodybuilder – Rich Piana. Less of a competitor and more of an internet freak sensation, Rich Piana died this week after spending 3-weeks in a coma. Also based in Florida, Piana suffered a medical emergency in his apartment and was rushed to a local hospital where he was placed in a medically-induced coma. Piana’s girlfriend – Chanel, was on scene during he entire event; providing Rich with a haircut and performing CPR as they waited for medical help to arrive. TMZ Sports further reported that a District Six Medical Examiner in Florida officially declaring Piana’s death Friday morning.

Though some bodybuilding winnings, including Mr. California, are properly captured within his bio, Piana’s following is largely attributed to his flagrant and uncontrolled abuse of steroids. THE SUN reported that, “…a preliminary search at his apartment revealed more than 20 bottles of steroids and a white powder.” With his “Ride or Die” meme, Rich Piana attracted the attention of many young males who sought to replicate his same physical scale and notoriety. At the time of his death, Rich had an Instagram following that exceeded 1 million.

THE SUN reported that, when questioned by police, Chanel admitted that she, and Rich, had been juicing (abusing steroids) for more than 20-years. In fact, Piana openly confessed that his regime consists of “massive steroid cycles”, heavy food intake, homemade protein shakes, and little cardiovascular work. During an interview, Piana implied that he understood the importance of on/off cycles and was resigned to the necessity of steroids if a person wanted to seriously pursue bodybuilding.

In review of his past statements, Piana acknowledged the adverse effects of steroid use by stating, “There’s no reason to do steroids, you’re only hurting your body, you’re hurting yourself.” Despite this realization, Piana continued to abuse steroids and encouraged others to follow his guidance.

QUESTION:
What is a person to do when his/her steroid-injecting; selfie-taking internet idol suffers a premature death? In November of 2015, www.steroidanalysis.com covered the Geneva unveiling of WADA’s report from Chairman Richard Pound regarding the profound influence of doping throughout the global athletic stage. One of the main informants is Grigory Rodchenkov – head of Russia’s anti-doping lab who now fears Russian retaliation and threats against his personal safety. Grigory spoke of creative PED cocktails and steroid/hormone stacks infused with alcoholic drinks that amplify effect while hastening absorption to limit the window of time whereby said PEDs can be detected. Russian Health Minister Vitaly Mutko’s attributed WADA’s findings to a negative global view of Russia given geopolitical events.

In the winter of 2015, details of the program were just beginning to circulate throughout world which entailed tampering with chemical assays, fake test results, and sample switching, while pretending to work with WADA through the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA). Most shocking was the degree to which the Russian intelligence agency’s SVR RF and Vladimir Putin were involved. Confessions among the program defectors disclosed heavy-handed measures, devised by the SVR and Putin, that would lead to compulsory compliance in the effort to maintain secrecy, controlled data transmission, and hyper-monitoring of all relevant contributors & stakeholders. It was the position of the World Anti-Doping Agency to apply a heavy penalty to all guilty parties given the quality of evidence against the Russian program. WADA’s official reaction to the McLaren Report read, “The findings of the McLaren Report are truly shocking. We as a Committee are deeply upset to read of the unprecedented levels of doping and subversion that have taken place in Russia.”

Outraged by brazen Russian behavior, the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) Council decided, on June 17th, to suspend 100% percent of Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) athletes, coaches, trainers, dieticians, etc… Upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in July of 2016, the WADA solution was equally bold and to be applied to (1) the Russian Olympic Committee, (2) a number of Russian claimant athletes, (3) and recognized by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). Furthermore, CAS dismissed requests for arbitration, requests for appeals, and deemed claimant athletes as ineligible for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games – WADA.

Yesterday – the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided NOT to impose a universal ban on all Russian athletes during next month’s Summer Olympic games in Rio. In stark contrast to recent sanctions, the IOC opted to provide Russia with an ‘face-saving’ escape route. The IOC has determined that Russian athletes may be allowed to compete if compliance with all anti-doping requirements can be confirmed by approved governing bodies within their discipline. For instance, Russian swimmers may be allowed into the Rio Games depending on outcomes verified by the FINA. The ITF has already verified compliance of Russia’s tennis competitors. Hours ago, Russian Sports Minister Mutko expressed gratitude for the IOC reprieve.

From a Los Angeles hotel conference room, the Associated Press reported of Maria Sharapova’s recent positive test results for performance enhancing drug(s). During her passionate speech, tennis phenom – Sharapova revealed that she was informed of the outcome via a letter from the International Tennis Federation following cursory tests administered during the Australia Open. Throughout her presentation, Maria Sharapova comported herself quite well and characterized the matter as an honest mistake made out of sheer ignorance.

The P.E.D. in question – Meldonium, is a drug that has a legitimate medical purpose and only listed as a banned substance by W.A.D.A. (World Anti-Doping Agency) as of January of 2016. To fully analyze this issue, let’s dive further with an analysis of this pharmaceutical and its varied uses.

WHAT IS MELDONIUM?
Mildronate, Mildronats, or Quaterine are scientific names that are generally not found in the vocabularies of Western society. Furthermore, the code 2-(2-Carboxyethyl)-1,1,1-trimethylhydrazinium wouldn’t be recognizable by most medical service providers with the exception of modern-day chemists. Perhaps, avid steroid producers may recognize acronyms such as THP and MET-8 as active ingredients for inclusion within some questionable energy-boosting supplements. The chemical code C6H15N2O2+, a white powdery raw product, has origins at the Latvia Institute of Organic Synthesis; innovated by Ivars Kalvins of the Latvian SSR Academy of Sciences.

Meldonium’s intended medical use was for the treatment of cardio vascular related Myocardia Infarction as well as Angina. According to the National Institutes of Health (N.I.H.), angina is described as intense pain; feeling like the squeezing of the chest/heart area that is caused by the lack of oxygen-rich blood. WebMD deems Myocardia Infarction to be a heart attack (a death of the heart) when one or more chambers becomes blocked. Subsequently, heart tissue is deprived of vital oxygen supply (cardiac ischemia) and will die if the duration of the circumstance extends beyond tolerance.

The United States has refused to permit the use of Meldonium in any form though the pharmaceutical is popular among former Soviet Union nations. Members of this localized scientific community claim that Meldonium greatly “contributes to cellular energy metabolism; thereby, acting as a regulator of energy metabolism.” The product is typically mixed with water or other liquids when consumed orally or otherwise injected.

Since there’s such an influence on the circulatory system for improved performance among heart patients, Meldonium is a growing drug of choice among athletes who’ve sought an edge by means including blood doping. This drug has claimed casualties such as Russian ice skater – Ekaterina Bobrova who failed her tests during the 2016 European Figure Skating Championships. Other eastern European athletes have been sanctioned by their involvement with Meldonium like Russian cycling champ Eduard Vorganov.

During her news conference, Sharapova made the calculated effort to remind reporters that W.A.D.A had only banned the substance in January of 2016. Sharapova did NOT inform attending journalists that W.A.D.A. periodically issues bulletins to update substances that are under heightened scrutiny with the increased probability of being added to their “DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES” list. In addition to W.A.D.A., partner organizations such as U.S.A.D.A. in the United States, UKAD in the United Kingdom, and SLOADA in Slovenia usually coordinate to adopt rules changes in unison. In our era of global competition, they cooperate to reiterate communications for the benefit of athletes within their jurisdiction.

Now provided with this basic information, we begin to assess Sharapova’s statements to explore inconsistencies. Logic from the legitimate medical community states that no medicine should be administered on an ‘as-needed’ basis for extended periods such as 6-years. We easily see that, unless this tennis great was suffering from chronic cardio-vascular disease, there was no reason for her to be using Meldonium. Finally, we know that elite professional athletes have an athletic entourage with diverse functionalities that range from scheduling and logistics to equipment upkeep, dietary requirements, and rules compliance. Even if Sharapova opted to ignore her most recent January 2016 communication of uniformly banned substances, it is statistically unlikely that, in 2015, she would’ve overlooked the mentioned scrutiny of one drug while complying with others.

Neither Sharapova, W.A.D.A., or the International Tennis Federation have commented on ‘next steps’. The sport of amateur & professional tennis has been perceived as non-muscular athletic competitions such that they’ve largely escaped the speculation of doping. Potentially, there will be more surprises that emerge along with administered fines/suspensions to be imposed on Sharapova. Moreover, as the layers of corruption throughout European sports is further unpeeled, we expect significant bombshells related to other elite athletes in Europe, the Middle-East, and Arab nations. Probably Maria’s racket is NOT roided but it certainly is juiced.

We’re just learning and reporting of the shooting death of Angel Veliz; a moderately known figure in the Central American bodybuilding/steroid community. We’ve read posts offered by bloggers who simply mention his death but offer very little information regarding the circumstances of his demise. Regardless, we perceive this matter to be worthy of our focus.

Born in 1982 and given the full name of Angel Pablo Veliz Damian, Angel was a small-framed kid who found comfort and resulting friendships in local Peruvian gyms. For quick gains and a major physique transformation, he was soon introduced to the world of steroids which provided limited successes during some bodybuilding competitions. To afford the steroids & hormones required to achieve further objectives, American and Brazilian porn producers scouted Angel Veliz (as well as many others throughout the Latino community…) for talent in video content that was to be directed toward American and European GAY internet viewers.

There’s no evidence that Angel made any significant societal contributions other than that related to (a) the steroid subculture, (b) the bodybuilding scene in Central America, and (d) the internet-based Gay Porn industry. At www.steroidanalysis.com, we find it difficult to understand why anyone with the first-name of ‘Angel’ would allocate so much of his time toward the production of this specific form of visual content.

At the very least, subtle fans may perceive Angel’s death as a premature tragedy while others may adopt a more harsh tone by viewing his entire life as a Total Waste. Details of Angel Veliz’s death are not well developed but we will update this post as news becomes available. Angel Pablo Veliz Damian was only 33 years of age.

Yesterday in Geneva Switzerland, the World Anti-Doping Agency unveiled its long-awaited report from Chair Richard Pound regarding the profound influence of doping throughout the global athletic stage. The blistering 320-page ‘Pound Report’ is the product of an in-depth analysis conducted by an independent commission with the specific mandate of upholding the purity of fair-play in organized sport, the integrity of the global WADA organization as a self-regulating body, as well as the consistency and reliability of its findings.

France24 News reported that the ‘Pound Report’ is a continuation of a lesser European investigation which noted Russia’s blatant involvement in efforts to produce winning track-and-field athletes. In December of 2014, the focus of the report (preceding the ‘Pound Report’) was the Russian disregard for ethical behavior, lapses in Russian sample monitoring, overt tampering of chemical assays, and erroneous recording of positive test results. Investigators were able to note the destruction of +1400 samples that tested positive for some banned substance during the Sochi Olympics.

On the WADA.org website, a fairly recent WADA communication further described the scope of Russia’s practices as extending beyond Russian athletes. Accusations included independent testing laboratories that were supposed to reflect the shared objectives of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) but were actually plagued by heavy-handed interference of core independence and objectivity principles. To maintain secrecy, Russia’s secret service was employed to threaten laboratory scientists who may have not (otherwise) complied with the doping conspiracy.

As reported by Deutsche Welle (DW) news agency, Vitaly Mutko – Russian Health Minister, rejected WADA’s findings and attributed them to a negative global view of Russia given geopolitical events rather than athletics. The scale of Russia’s alleged doping conspiracy are significant and similar to past doping programs of East Germany during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Other doping conspiracies exist that are also sponsored by their respective governments. In the public domain, there is concern over the provision of steroids and hormones by influential government leaders in Iran, Oman, Egypt, China, Poland, Serbia, Croatia, and France. In the United States, there have been serious rumors of similar programs of smaller scales in the States of New Jersey and California – including during the Arnold Schwarzenegger tenure as governor.

Today’s current scandal is a European embarrassment and illuminates the extent to which corruption has saturated the European athletic landscape. The ability to monetize the supply of banned substances is most advanced throughout Europe with the assistance of organized crime. As more detail emerges in the days ahead, the extent of the steroid/hormone supply chain will become clearer. Key players will be revealed and may also include well-known pharmaceutical companies in countries that are domiciled in respected EU nations like Germany and France. Such companies openly provide PEDs to countries where casual steroid/hormone use is legal (i.e. Mideast, Asian, and North African nations). A week ago, the global bodybuilding scene was rocked by the dramatic death of a relatively new bodybuilder – Baitollah Abaspour. In a region where poverty, blight, peril, and political turmoil persists, Baitollah served as an unofficial ambassador of arab – muslim strength. Within a new paradigm of global steroid use, he was the leader of new muslim bodybuilders who were proxies that conveyed Persian / gulf state / middle east power while being a source of national pride among fellow countrymen.

With implications that extend beyond the notion of “individual pursuit” and “personal gratification”, bodybuilding in the muslim world has become heavily controlled by wealthy sponsors and correlated to transformative wealth in countries such as Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, Eqypt, Morrocco, Iraq, Oman, and Syria.

In a male-dominated society, there exists an irresistable opportunity for arab businessmen to (a) monetize the unique blend of utter poverty while exploiting (b) the poor perception of arab physiques versus that of their western counterparts. Over the years, operations have developed and matured into reliable supply chains that produce cheap steroids for young muslim males who can’t afford the costly P.E.D.s of european manufacturers. Over time, operational improvements were made to production processes and delivery protocols that ultimately makes the end-product more accessible to users throughout the globe via facebook and internet merchant services.

Today, a brand new economic segment has developed equivalent to the gambling of race horses and camels. Wealthy arab businessmen seek exceptional ROI (return on investment) by sponsoring young men who’re desperate for quick income and more powerful physiques that contradict the thin frames associated with their arab & mideast lineage. This micro-economy thrives in a world where steroid possession & dealing is NOT illegal. Only unrealistic images of bodybuilder prosperity exists without the offsetting discussion of known side-effects that range from acne and sexual dysfunction to cardio-vascular disease, roid rage, and lymphatic cancers.

Born in 1979, Baitollah Abbaspour was one of those thin-framed Iranian males who urgently sought to improve his prospects and personal finances by dramatically changing his physique.
Through social media, the world observed Baitollah’s selfies and offseason photo shoots as he rapidly gained more and more muscle mass. High placements in 2010 through 2014 bodybuilding shows would propel Baitollah to secure further sponsorships and partnerships with regional supplement companies. In a very short span of time, he found himself near the pinnacle of the bodybuilding scene as it shifts eastward from traditional American and European domains. Times were good for Abbaspour until 2015.

Beginning in June of 2015, photos began to circulate on facebook and Iranian bodybuilding sites of both Baitollah and fellow bodybuilding – Mohamad Selamah; hospitalized with terrific weight losses. The pics showed both men weakened and visited by other muslim bodybuilders. Inevitable questions were chased by rumors and uneducated allegations of cancer and AIDS. It was only within that last month of Baitollah’s life that the true cause of illness was revealed.

As explained to www.steroidanalysis.com by physicians who’re expert in this area, there are many culprits to consider but Baitollah Abbaspour allegedly suffered from an autoimmune disease whereby the body’s immune system improperly recognizes cells as foreign entities. No current cure exists to prevent the immune system from turning on itself or averting its lethal attack once it begins.
Based upon the type of autoimmune disease, side effects typically range from fever & general malaise to joint/connective tissue degradation and on to skin/pigment complications. Baitollah Abbaspour was only 165centimeters tall with an offseason weight of 101 kilograms and competitive weight of 95 kilograms. Estimates based on photographs suggest that he died at a weight range closer to 50 – 55 kilograms (est. 103 lbs).

MIKE MATARAZZO – 1965 – 2014
Yesterday – August 17th of 2014, Mike Matarazzo died of complications due to his steroid use. Mike’s origins were from the Boston area though he transitioned to southern California in pursuit of his bodybuilding dreams. With definite success as an IFBB card holder, he competed in many competitions along with Shawn Ray, Chris Cormier, Dorian Yates, and Kevin Levrone.

On too many occasions, Matarazzo flirted with death including (a) severely clogged arteries in 2004 and (b) life-threatening complications that warranted open-heart surgery in November of 2007. Common among steroid users, arteries clog as a result of a few reasons including increased production of red blood cells to the extent that they clot and overwhelm the heart’s ability to pump blood. Additionally, poorly performing regulator valves within major veins and arteries fail to open & close properly. This leads to the highly vascular look that amateurs desire; completely unaware that this is actually an outward sign of significant cardiovascular health decline.

As is the case with other bodybuilders who’ve died as a result of their steroid use, their images are still circulated and used in blogs/forums, muscle magazines, etc… as though were no negative correlation between steroid/hormone use and the ultimate penalty for such PED usage. Smiling images of Ed Van Amsterdam, Nasser El Sonbaty, and others are often splashed across websites to support the façade of the steroid lifestyle including (a) optimal health, (b) the notion of super human strength, and (c) persistent sexual overtones. Again: NOTHING CAN BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!

Too infrequently, a former steroid user will publicly offer a testimonial to warn potential users of similar consequences. To our amazement, bloggers on forums were in complete denial, attributing Mike’s heart issues to secondary contributing factors such as high-fat diets, excessive protein intake, and other anomalies. Despite obvious red flags, member chats reverted to Mike’s Pre-Steroid photos rather than the breaking news that was virtually in front of them. Nonetheless, Mike Matarazzo’s warnings remain as clear today as they were they day he articulated them to a reporter during a candid interview.

There are some guys who claim steroids aren’t dangerous, while others say using them is like playin’ roulette. Do you personally feel that steroids were a major factor in what happened to you?

I know it was the drugs that caused this to happen and I don’t care what anyone says. All the gurus and self proclaimed steroid experts who try to down play the risks are talking out there asses. They have no idea what will happen to people. Nobody in my family EVER had heart problems it WAS the steroids I took. Anytime you put an artificial drug in your body your takin’ a chance. Mike’s realization came too late for his own personal benefit. His wife Lacey and surviving family members can not claim anything from the testimony that he offered.
