SUSPENSION TENSION for Alex — THE GREAT!!!
Update: March 28, 2013
Drama and tensions mount on the high seas of Lake Michigan as the Windy City becomes the focal point of Major League Baseball’s war against steroids. Undoubtedly, Ground Zero will be 35th Street and the Dan Ryan Expressway starring one defiant Alex Rodriguez.
‘Outside the Lines’ told ESPN that it expects Alex Rodriguez to be suspended for the remainder of the 2013 baseball season as well as the entirety of the 2014 season. Considering MLB’s collective bargaining clauses and the significance of A-Rod’s contract, any suspension will not be immediately imposed but only effective following ‘due process’ which involves an Appeals hearing and/or arbitration. In fact, it may take weeks for all options to be exercised which enables the accused player to continue playing the game.
At US Cellular Field, look for packed trains, terrific fan reaction, and intense media coverage. At least there will be more excitement during this circus than the Chicago White Sox have provided all season.
